- Mobile coverage: The island is serviced by Telstraโs Next G network. Some areas have limited reception. A Telstra-compatible Next G mobile is required (other carriersโ phones may not work).
- Internet & WiFi: Most accommodation offers WiFi. Check ahead with your operator or with Flinders Council for current free access locations.
- Public phones: Located at Whitemark, Lady Barron, Killiecrankie, and Whitemark Airport.
- UHF radios: Commonly used by locals in cars, boats, and on properties for reliable communication.
